~~~~~ Tino’s p.o.v ~~~~~
“I can’t believe you almost missed your stop because you were thinking about (y/n)!” said Mathias, teasing me. We started walking towards our destination. “But I guess it’s not that surprising. After all you talk about her all the time.”
“I do not,” I protested even though I knew it was kind of true.
“Yeah, right!” Mathias laughed and pat my back hard enough for me to lose my balance. “You do talk about her all the time. Don’t you agree, Lukas?”
“It’s all he’s been talking about for the last few weeks,” Lukas said and sighed. He turned towards me and looked mildly irritated. “Why don’t you just ask her out if you’re so in love with her?”
“I-I can’t do that,” I said and felt my face heat up a bit. “What if she doesn’t like me?”
“Isn’t that (y/n) over there?” Mathias suddenly said. “It is! Is she going swimming too? She is, isn’t she?”
“Looks like it,” Lukas stated. Then he suddenly pushed me towards her. “Go ask her if she wants to swim with you and when you’re at it ask her out on a date too so I don’t have to hear you talk about her all the time.”
“W-what?” I said in slight disbelief. “B-but…”
“You’ve been talking about her forever and if you don’t do anything soon someone else might ask her out.”
I sighed and started walking towards (y/n) after getting some very enthusiastic encouragement from Mathias.
”(Y/n)!” Tino shouts behind you. “Wait for me!”
You stopped walking long enough for Tino to catch up with you. When you looked at him he smiled widely at you and you found yourself smiling. Tino always seemed to lift your mood.
“Hi, Tino,” you said. “What are you doing here?”
“I’m going to go swim,” he answered and gestured to his bag as if it was obvious. You laughed a bit at him. “And you? What are you doing here?”
“Believe it or not, but I’m actually here to swim too,” you said and gestured to your bag while laughing.
“Oh, then we can swim together,” he said and smiled wider if that was possible. Then his smile faltered a bit and he looked a bit embarrassed. “I mean … if you want to?”
“Sure, but what about your friends?” you asked and looked behind him. Mathias and Lukas waved to you and you waved back.
“It’s okay. They don’t need me to be able to swim,” Tino answered and laughed a bit.
“Okay, then I’ll meet you at the pool after I’ve changed,” you said and waved to him as you walked to the changing room.
~~~~~ Tino’s p.o.v ~~~~~
“Hi, Tino.” I turned around when I heard her voice. My eyes immediately fell on her face and the smile that was present there. She was so beautiful I couldn’t help but smile myself.
“Hi, (y/n). Shall we jump in and swim for a while?” I asked her and she nodded enthusiastically making her (h/l) (h/c) hair bob up and down. She walked closer to me and before I had time to process it she had grabbed my hand in hers and looked at me smiling.
“Let’s jump in together, okay?” she asked and looked at me while swinging our hands together. I slowly nodded as I currently couldn’t speak. She turned her head towards the pool and dragged me to the edge with her. “On the count of three. One, two, three!”
We jumped into the pool and the water splashed all around us. We were both laughing when we reached the surface and I could feel butterflies in my stomach. I couldn’t believe this was happening. I really, really like her sooo much. I think I might even love her. I really wish I had the courage to ask her out on a date.
“Why didn’t you say so earlier? Of course I’ll go on a date with you Tino,” she said before I had realized that I had said that out loud. I felt my face heat up and I tried to swim away, but our hands where still connected and (y/n) wasn’t letting go. “All you really had to do was ask, ‘cause I really like you too you know.”
My eyes widened and my brain uselessly tried to form words. “Yo-you do?” I couldn’t believe my ears. The girl I had known for who knows how many years and eventually developed a crush on liked me back. Right now she was looking at me and giggling.
“I-I … do you want to … go for a coffee after we’re done?” I asked her and looked straight at her for the first time since I had accidentally confessed my feelings to her.
“Sure, I would love to, Tino!” she said and smiled widely at him before splashing water at him and swimming away laughing.
I think I’m in love, Tino thought to himself before chasing after (y/n) in the water.
